Bathrooms

Moisture is the main enemy. Use stainless steel or quality coated aluminium to avoid corrosion. Rounded (quadrant) trims are friendlier on outside corners, and cove trims make internal corners easier to keep clean. Shower niches look neat with square trims in a matching finish.

Kitchens

On backsplashes, use square or round trims at exposed ends and outside corners. Choose a finish that matches your hardware, such as brushed steel with steel handles or black with matte fixtures. Pick something easy to wipe clean of grease.

Floor Transitions

Where tile meets wood, vinyl or carpet, use a transition strip at the doorway. It protects both edges and evens out small height differences. In busy areas, pick a heavy-duty metal profile.

Staircases

Stair nosings and edge trims protect tile edges from daily impact and improve grip. Choose a durable metal profile.

Balconies and Outdoor Areas

Outdoor areas see sun, rain and temperature changes. Use stainless steel or well-coated aluminium, and avoid basic PVC, which can fade.

Commercial Spaces

Shops, restaurants, hotels and offices need strong trims that handle heavy traffic and frequent cleaning. Stainless steel is usually the safe choice.
